What Is Coastways?

Coastways is a small group of designers, digital artists, and illustrators living in Austin but with Florida roots. One day, we noticed something peculiar. Despite our professions as creatives, we all had the same problem - a lack of art on our walls. It turned out we were all in the same boat, hopelessly attending gallery shows of our favorite artists, only to look at the price tag and tell ourselves, "Maybe next time."

It was that day we decided to take matters into our own hands and start creating our own art, ensuring each piece qualifies as something we'd love to hang on our walls, and pricing it so others could fill their empty walls as well.

Coastways is our second installment of this vision, and sister store to our western-themed shop Head West Studio.

How Do You Create Your Art?

Our art is created in a variety of different ways. From custom illustrations, to digital photo collages, and even real paintings and illustrations, we're open to any and all techniques! No matter where the piece originated though, each print is digitally cleaned up and resized to get ready for printing and accommodate a variety of frame sizes.

Do You Work with Artists?

One of our main goals at Coastways is to expose the incredible talent of deserving artists to more people! So, along with creating our own work in house, we also partner with amazing artists, illustrators, and photographers in our Artist Series. How Is the Art Printed?

Each of our archival giclée prints comes on either a high-quality matte poster paper or a premium, semi-gloss canvas. We pride ourselves on the quality of our prints, ensuring each one comes with rich color, high detail, and no indication of printing errors like lines or streaks.

Do You Ship International?

We're currently only fulfilling to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. All of our orders are printed and shipped from the USA. Orders from Mexico and Canada may incur additional fees/duties upon delivery.

What's the Difference Between a Print, Framed Print, Canvas and Framed Canvas?

Each of our four art options is a great choice!

Starting with our base option, our unframed giclée prints come on archival matte poster paper with a durable paper thickness of 10.3 mil.

Our framed print option features the same giclée prints, pre-installed in our high-quality frames. The frames are created from a durable wooden core wrapped in a premium veneer, available in four modern color options: white, black, natural wood, and walnut. Our standard framed pieces are 0.75" thick and 1.25" in depth. Larger pieces—sizes 30"x44" and 36"x36" and above—come with a slightly thicker frame that's 1.25" thick and 1.25" in depth. All frames come with gallery-quality acrylic.

Our canvas prints are made with high-quality semi-gloss canvas stretched onto a durable wooden subframe with a 1.25" depth. They're lightweight, sturdy, and ready to hang!

Last but not least, our framed canvas option comes float-framed with a small gap between the edge of the canvas and the frame. The depth of the frame is 1.75", and the width of the frame is 0.75". Just like our framed prints, our canvas frames come in four color options: black, white, natural wood, and walnut (no acrylic included).

What Do I Do If My Order Arrives Damaged?

If your print or frame comes damaged in any way, please take a picture of the damage and let us know within 30 days of delivery! As long as we have pictures of the damage, we'd be happy to send you a priority replacement.

How Are Your Prints Packaged and Shipped?

Unframed prints come carefully rolled in an ultra-durable art poster tube. Inside, your prints are wrapped in a protective paper layer. PLEASE OPEN YOUR PRINTS VERY CAREFULLY TO PREVENT TEARING! After opening, we recommend laying them out to flatten with some heavy books or similar objects. After a couple hours they should be good to frame!

Framed prints come in a heavily-protected custom box made to minimize damage during shipping. They also have a protective layer of wrapping within the box to prevent damage as well.

Shipping

All orders are shipped from our fulfillment center in the US via UPS or Fedex. International orders (Canada and Mexico) may incur additional taxes/duties upon delivery which are not covered. If your order needs to go out with a specific courier, please alert us before ordering at help@coastwaysprints.com.

While fulfillment times can vary, it typically takes 3-5 business days for your order to print and ship (weekends and holidays not included). After your order is shipped, standard delivery ranges from 3-7 days, with most customers receiving their print between 8-12 days. We allow up to 15 days to deliver, but please note that sometimes this window can shift due to unexpected delays caused by inclement weather.

Often times a print can get lost or misplaced in transit by our couriers. If a print goes more than 10 days without a tracking or delivery update (and given that the address provided was correct) we'll send a priority replacement.

If your order is marked as delivered and you did not receive the order, you must file a claim with the courier. Often times Fedex or UPS is able to track down the missing package. Other times we are able to provide a replacement if the courier admits fault. These are handled on a case by case basis. Unfortunately, we are not able to cover or replace items stolen after they are marked as delivered.

If the address provided was incorrect or failed to deliver at the provided address resulting in your order being returned to us, we must wait until the order is returned at which point we can update your delivery address and send the order back out. Please note that return shipments are deprioritized and may take much longer to get back to our fulfillment centers.

Return Policy

Each of our prints and canvases is made custom to order, so we’re unable to accept returns or provide replacements for misorders, incorrect sizes, or changes of heart. If your print arrives damaged in any way from shipping, please send clear photos of the damage to help@coastwaysprints.com within 30 days of delivery, and we’ll be happy to ship you a priority replacement! We’re unable to provide replacements due to damage past our 30-day damage report window, so make sure to open your order and check it upon delivery!

Cancellation Policy

If you'd like to change or cancel your order, please contact us immediately at help@coastwaysprints.com. We try to get orders out as quickly as possible, and are unable to change or cancel orders once they've gone to print. If you need to change your address, please also contact us immediately, as we are unable to change the address once the package has been shipped.
